Research Innovations, Inc. Hires Top Cyber Expert Brian Shirey as VP of Cyber Technology & Solutions to Expand its Cyber Business

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 2, 2017 – Research Innovations, Inc. announced the appointment of Brian Shirey as Vice President of Cyber Technologies & Solutions.

Mr. Shirey will lead and continue to expand Research Innovations' capabilities to provide innovative full-spectrum cyber solutions to the DoD and Intelligence Community, as well as grow Research Innovations into a preeminent cyber security company.

Mr. Shirey has been an influential leader in cyber security for over 20 years. He comes to Research Innovations from Forcepoint, where he was Global Chief Architect, oversaw the Product Security Incident Response Team, was the Senior VP of Research and Development for Forcepoint Security Labs, created and led Forcepoint Innovation Labs, and led analytics development for the company. Prior to Forcepoint, Mr. Shirey was a key member of the leadership team that launched SI Government Solutions, one of the nation's premiere cyber security research and development companies. Throughout his 13-year tenure he invented many fielded technologies and acted in several executive roles, ultimately leading a team of over 300 cyber security researchers after its acquisition by Raytheon.

Research Innovations, Inc. Hires Ellen Minderman to Lead Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intel as VP of C4I

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 19, 2017 – Research Innovations, Inc. announced the appointment of Ellen Minderman as Vice President of C4I.

Ellen Minderman joined RII as the VP of C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence) where she will manage and grow RII's C4I business line, to include Joint C2, Joint Targeting, Information Operations, and Tactical/Mobile C2 solutions for the U.S. military and its allies.

Ellen brings with her a wealth of industry experience, customer intimacy, and a passion for people.  "Ellen is a proven business leader, successfully leading large organizations in delivering innovative solutions for key customers.  I am thrilled to work with Ellen again to develop the next-generation C4I capabilities applied to our nation's top challenges," said Jack Harrington, RII CEO.  

Minderman has significant experience with the Intelligence Community and DoD, particularly developing systems for the U.S. Army and DISA supporting Coalition Operations. She most recently led a $100M+ portfolio in Raytheon's Intelligence, Information, and Services business and significantly contributed to capturing $1.5B in new business. Ellen is excited about joining RII and returning to her roots of an entrepreneurial tech firm delivering critical capabilities for important national security problems in an agile way; she previously held executive positions at FGM when it was recognized as a Washington Technology Fast 50 company and one of Washingtonian's Great Places to Work.

Jack harrington appointed new ceo of
research innovations, Inc.

Alexandria, VA, August 11, 2017 – Research Innovations, Inc. announced the appointment of Jack Harrington as its new CEO. He will assume responsibilities immediately and will succeed Rich Briggs, founder, who will continue as Chief Technology Officer and Chairman of the Board.

In 1994, Harrington and Briggs cofounded Virtual Technology Corporation, which was acquired in 2006 by Raytheon Company, after which Harrington has been leading $800M-$1B businesses for the past 11 years.

Harrington was most recently Vice President of Cybersecurity and Special Missions (CSM), a business of Raytheon Company’s Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS), providing full scale cyber solutions across global markets. Prior to his IIS role, Harrington served as CEO of Thales Raytheon Systems (specializing in command and control systems, 3D air defense radars, battlefield and weapon locating radars) headquartered in Massy, France.
